The BBA’s Sub-Committee has decided to carefully increase Menbership by inviting Applications from companies in the Bridalwear trade.

Providing that you fulfil the Basic Criteria as shown below, we would be delighted to hear from you so that we can process your Application.

The sooner that we here from you, the earlier you could avail yourselves of major BBA Benefits. The value of the Benefits by far outweighs the normal annual Membership Fees but within your first year you will pay nothing at all.

Benefits of joining the BBA:

1. Monthly Newsletters keeping you up to date in the Trade, sent out by E-Mail.
2. Free Membership of UK Fashion Trades Association (UKFT) which can guide you towards possible grants for exhibiting abroad. This alone is worth an average of £500 per company.
3. Sharing information with other BBA Members concerning Credit Risks via confidential links and bi-monthly Worst Accounts List plus Free Credit Checks available on all Clients.
4. Help and guidance on confidential matters plus networking with other BBA Members and learning from their experiences.
5. Lower Insurance Premiums
6. Low Interest Rates on Credit / Debit Card transactions.
7. Opportunities to Exhibit in British Embassies abroad at low cost.
8. The BBA provides a strong collective voice within the Bridal Industry.
9. Low annual Subscription Fees (£250 + VAT).

Basic Criteria require:

1. Manufacturing new Bridalwear or Accessories for a minimum of 3 years
2. Operating from dedicated Commercial Premises
3. Registered for VAT
4. Paying Business Rates
5. Having no links with Home-Traders
6. Being financially stable

If you have a problem with item 5, please contact us direct. We will need 2 Trade References from you.

Membership Application Form

The BBA has it’s own written Constitution and a copy is available on request and on this website. Once your application is received, the BBA’s Sub-Committee will make a decision within a few weeks and we will then inform you at once of the result in strict confidence.
